Meanwhile. at the White House, Trump makes an important announcement that this "display of hatred, bigotry, and violence... has been going on for a long time in our country." He has a tragic expression towards this reminiscence and emphasizes that no citizen should fear for their safety in our society. An important message Trump conveys that stands out throughout his speech is "no matter what color, race. religion, or political party [you are], we are all Americans first. We love are country, we love our god, we love our flag, we are proud of our country, we are proud of who we are." He mentions that we need to study this incident and realize what is wrong and why this outcome happened. Trump claims we have to respect each other as people. Overall, his speech left a large impact towards people to understand that everyone is similar, despite any ethnicity or any other difference. Despite his words, there is no guarantee that this is the end or beginning of violent acts. Discrimination is a concept that has been happening for generations and generations with no control. It has left many people hurt, injured, and possibly killed like in this situation. This is an act of intolerance and violence that destroys the meaning of America, and the unity of our country. Is there a way to end all of these intense attacks?

The United States of America has and always will have hate. Very recently in Virginia the hate was put on display in a very violent manor when white nationalists protested in the streets of Charlottesville. The worst part about these protests were that they were violent. Peaceful protests in this country are legal, but when they turn violent that is a problem and action must be taken because people get hurt and even killed. In this protest, 15 were hurt in the protest, 19 were injured in the car crash, and one was killed. I do not agree whatsoever with violent protests, peaceful protests are another story but violence breeds violence the way that hate breeds hate. Protests create divide in our country and makes us as people and most importantly Americans, look worse. People have the right to free speech but it crosses the boundary when it becomes a criminal act. It is also simply wrong and doesn't make any sense for people to protest against violence with even more violent acts.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, there is nothing for the authorities or government to do besides use more violence against the people which in the end, causes even more violence and protests in the end. But really it is on us, the people to stop protesting using violence and to know what the right thing to do is. So for the president to say that it is on all sides, it is one hundred percent true.
