Trump's New Communications Director?

Sean Spicer, former White House Press Secretary, resigned last Friday while disagreeing with Trump's decision to appoint Anthony Scaramucci as the new communications director. According to New York Times, Trump asked Spicer if he would like to stay as the press secretary. Since Trump gave the communication job to Scaramucci, Spicer immediately denied, therefore he is no longer working at the White House.

Now that Scaramucci is the new communications director, everyone has been wondering why Trump chose this New York Republican as the man for the job. Believe it or not, during the presidential campaign, Scaramucci was against Trump! He called him "another hack politician" and "anti-American"; it left many citizens in shock to find out that he is now working for Trump. During his panel a couple days ago, he formally apologized to Trump. Also, in Scaramucci's panel discussion, he left a great impression towards the citizens, and they can understand why Trump finds him to be the right person as the communications director. It is very obvious that Scaramucci is an excellent speaker, and with his communication skills he will probably do well at defending Trump in any scenario.

Video that explains this topic in detail:

Not only this, but Washington Examiner claims that "he carries himself with great confidence which is backed by considerable business, political, media, and life experience that will serve him well in one of the toughest jobs in the White House." As he was speaking in the panel, his choice of words were very persuading and he answered news reporters with respect. Many news stations and citizens strongly approve with Scaramucci and his new role. In comparison to Spicer, who stuttered and appeared to be nervous, Scaramucci was smooth and confident with what he had to say. There is greater potential in the White House with this new change-up.

Questions for Discussion:
  • Did Spicer resign only because of his disagreements towards Scaramucci, or is there a deeper reason behind this?
  • Is Trump biased towards picking Scaramucci?
  • Why do you believe Trump picked Scaramucci, despite all the hateful things he has mentioned in the past?
  • What do you think Scaramucci's potential will be in the future when it comes to speaking for Trump?
  • Will Scaramucci do a great job covering for Trump?
