Senate Votes on Considering the Republican Health Care Bill.

Starting today, the Senate begins to debate on repealing the Affordable Care Act, which is also known as Obama Care. The new Republican Health Care Bill would remove Obamacare's subsidies, which are refundable tax credits based on a person's income and cost coverage of their area. This would be removed because although more than 8 in 10 enrollees on Obamacare are given this assistance, individuals making more than $47,500 and families of four earning more than 97,200 do
not qualify. The bill among other things would get rid of the Obamacare requirement that people must have health coverage or face a tax penalty.

Discussion Questions:
Do you think Obamacare should be repealed and replaced with the Republican Health Care Act?
Do you think it's fair that those using Obamacare that have over a certain income can't qualify for refundable tax credits?
